Snowdon 500 - The 2009 event   

A huge thank you to everyone who took part or supported the Snowdon 500 Challenge – 2009. 

500 participants from all over the UK converged on Llanberis in North Wales on Saturday 16th May to take part in the second Snowdon 500 Challenge. Despite some very testing weather conditions on the day all Snowdon 500 participants completed the challenge and returned to base safely. There’s no doubt whatsoever that everyone taking part fully earned the sponsorship money they have raised.

And the good news is that the total funds raised in 2009 for the Prostate Cancer Research Centre exceeds £180,000. This may well increase over the next couple of months as “gift aid” is taken into account and fundraising activities continue.

It means that in the past 2 years Snowdon 500 participants have raised more than £350,000 for prostate cancer research.
